Google DeepMind has developed and tested an AI framework called AlphaProof Nexus that autonomously searches for mathematical proofs and verifies reasoning with tools like Lean. In tests, it solved 9 previously unsolved Erdős problems (two open for over 50 years) and 44 of 492 open conjectures in the Online Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences; the findings were published in Science.
